What better way to embrace our inherent human laziness than to talk about a book that pretty much covers ‘the history of humankind’? We know, small task. And yes, it’s a big book. With some pretty big implications. Which probably one hour of discussion doesn’t do proper justice.
AND YET. We've managed to break down Yuval Harari’s ‘Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind’ and condense it into four key propositions that are more or less applicable to what we call planning / strategy. With it you will hopefully get some perspective on how history is a far greater teacher than that latest trends report on millennials’ motivations for a sharing economy, and how science can help us understand the grit that often goes into making a stellar brand idea come to life. Among other things.
Come along for a blast to the past coupled with a glimpse into the present (and maybe some food for thought for the future).
As always don’t worry about reading the book unless you want to. We’re going to make it ‘brief’ (there, obligatory planning pun is done *bows down*) and then open up the conversation for everyone in the room (i.e. the pub table).
BUT! As usual, there’s only 10 spaces, so watch out for the event email and RSVP asap to let us know you want to come.
Meet. Chat. Change. Repeat.
