Kicking off our effort to re-balance our list of female to male Q&A strategy stars, we're delighted to welcome Becky McOwen Banks, Creative Director at FCB Inferno and TEDx Speaker on Gender Equality themes, to do a Q&A with us.
With over 17 years of advertising experience, Becky is an expert in nurturing, building and running award-winning creative departments.
In addition to that, she’s involved with many women and diversity initiatives; from piloting The Girlhood programme within FCB Inferno as a new path for recruiting creative talent, to leading The Girl Effect project in Rwanda championing a new future, to active roles with SheSays & Who’s Your Momma in the UK and Australia.
In 2014, Becky partnered with Ali Hanan to launch Creative Equals, an independent initiative to directly address the lack of female leadership within London’s ad agencies.
A topic dear to her heart that she expressed again brilliantly last year at TEDx Covent Garden, talking about the need for greater diversity in the search for better creative work, front and centre.
Diversity is also a topic dear to our heart at Group Think, so we’re really excited to breakfast with Becky and encourage our members to come with interesting questions around the theme of Diversity & Gender Equality in the adland.
As usual, we only have 10 seats at the breakfast table. So look at your inbox to book your seat and join us on Tuesday, 13th of February.
If you don't know what Q&A is, it's a discussion where you are the hero. Small and informal Q&As with top management in the industry. No written agenda, just your questions.
