Understanding Gen Z through an exploration of their bedrooms

  • Geffrye Museum 136 Kingsland Road London, England, E2 8EA United Kingdom (map)

For our second Open Your Mind session, come and join us for a free lunchtime talk from writer & researcher Carey Newson on the Teenage Bedrooms exhibition at the Geffrye museum.

Exhibition curator Carey Newson spent a year interviewing teenagers and their parents in East and North London to explore the meaning and significance of teenage bedrooms and their eclectic displays. She worked with the photographer Kyna Gourley to record these spaces – tidy or chaotic, loved or neglected – producing a unique collection of photographs, interviews and valuable insights on today’s British post-millennial generation.

Note this will be a Friday lunchtime talk and we’ll be mingling with the public.

We only have 10 spaces available; so be quick to respond to your upcoming invitation email!

Meet. Chat. Change. Repeat.
