Video games exhibition at the V&A

  • V&A Museum Cromwell Road London, England United Kingdom (map)

This month in Open Your Mind, we will dive into the world of video games and how major technological shifts such as increased access to broadband, social media & smartphones have influenced how they are designed, discussed and played.

Let us introduce you to the Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt exhibition (total excitement).

From Minecraft to League of Legends or No Man's Sky, this exhibition provides a unique insight into the design process behind a selection of groundbreaking contemporary video games as well as the rise of a new DIY arcade scene.

The exhibition will explore three themes :

  1. Design: what it takes to make a video game.

  2. Disrupt: how video games relate to society as a whole.

  3. Play: the playful social role of video games.

For the first time, this event will exceptionally take place in a museum and we will have to pay to attend. So please be aware you’ll be charged £18 at the entrance.

Do you more info? Check out the V&A website.

As per usual, this event is for our members only (become one here) and isn’t limited in the number of people able to join us. However it’s important to book a seat so we can warn the V&A. The invitation email will land in your inbox on Tuesday 5th of Feb.

Please note that we are not sponsored by the V&A and that this event has been chosen for the sole purpose of providing our members a great experience. And a brilliant excuse to spend some quality time with strategists.

What is Open Your Mind?

We bring in (or visit) people who work in industries outside of marketing, like a gallery owner or clean wastage plant manager, to open our minds and gain different insight which we can implement in our own fields.
